About

The goal of the school is to increase the ability of new entrepreneurs to transform ideas into viable, sustainable and scalable businesses, building up resilience with respect to market turbulence.

The summer school is an international and collaborative program. It adopts a bespoke blended learning approach designed to engage real game-changers by equipping them with the all the skills, tools and confidence to successfully turn business ideas into reality.

The Summer School mixes theory and practice, and includes three days of pretotyping and testing of the ideas.

• Idea developed in entrepreneurship programs or BP competitions
• Idea patented (or filed)

Aperitif with guest

During the Summer School 2 aperitif with guests will be organized after the workshop in order to deep some topics and increase the participants’ network.

Guests will be available to talk with participants about their projects and to share their experiences.


FAQ

How much does the Summer School cost?

The Summer School has a cost of € 600,00, covering the lectures, the two “aperitif with guest” organized within the two weeks, and the transport and lunch of the opening session taking place in Vinci. A scholarship is available for the best proposal submitted

Does the School recognise any credits?

At the end of the course the University of Pisa will release a certificate of attendance. Moreover, 6 ECTS will be assigned to those that will pass a final test.

How can I apply?

Applicants will be informed on their eligibility to attend the course by 23rd May.

Are ther any criteria to be admitted to the School?

Are there any scholarship?

A scholarship is available for the best proposal submitted. A team of experts selected by the scientific coordinator of the school will assess the projects by assigning them a grade from 1 to 5 for each of the following criteria:
– Experience and background of team members
– Industrial/research sector
– Originality of the idea/project
– Business idea innovative potential
– Feasibility of the idea

When the organization will communicate the admission of participants?

Applicants will be informed on their eligibility to attend the course by 23rd May.

The organization communicate me my admission! What are the next steps?

After your admission you will have to pay the fee (600€). The fee must be paid only once you are admitted and by 28th May. You will also be asked to provide us with personal information in order to proceed with the formal enrollment in the summer school.

Does University of Pisa provide the accommodation for the student?

The University of Pisa is not a campus-based university, but made a certain number of agreements with various housing facilities in the city. At this link: https://www.unipi.it/index.php/student-services/item/2322 you can find a selection of residences, hostels and other kinds of accommodations

Is there any refund system for this program? Like if the visa would be refused by the embassy and I can not attend the School.

Unfortunately the university does not give any refund to people that can not attend a Summer School due to any circumstances. You will have to obtain the visa before doing the payment for the summer school. If you have this particular kind of necessity, you have to explain that to the organization that will communicate your admission as soon as possible, so that you can reasonably conclude the visa process before paying the fee.
