Gualtiero Fantoni

Associate Professor at University of Pisa, President of Pisa Leaning Lab, founder of Fablab Pisa and of two university spin-off. MEng in Mechanical Engineering (“summa cum laude”) at University of Pisa in 1999. PhD in Robotics, Automation and Bioengineering from the University of Pisa. His research interests are in industrial grasping, handling and feeding and in creativity, crowdsourcing and collaborative design tools. Wide experience in patent automatic analysis and technology foresight. His publications include more than 50 peer reviewed papers, co-inventor of 10 patents. He lead Pisa Operative Unit (as co-PI) in the 7th FP IP project “RobLog – Cognitive Robot for Automation of Logistic Processes” and in the Leonardo’s Project “European Entrepreneurs Campus”. Ray Garcia

​Ray Garcia is the managing director of Buoyant Capital, a global peer advisory think tank addressing the growth challenges of small to medium sized enterprises. The firm coordinates its team of experts to help its clients improve competitiveness through talent management, global market expansion partnership access, technology asset management, capital investment and restructuring. Ray has over 20 years of experience as a technology entrepreneur, as company CTO co-founder, for four venture-backed companies. David Plans

David Plans began his academic career studying artificial intelligence and computer science, using algorithms to investigate the nature of human creativity. He later helped build the first European merger for Open Source startups and has recently helped the UK’s National Health Service deploy the first mobile application to let users self-report in chronic illness. David has started and run several high-Tech startups. His latest venture is BioBeats, where he designs media systems that foster wellness. Antonella Magliocchi

Educational background in languages, communication and HR. After a long experience in the Communications Office of the University of Pisa, since 2008 she is manager of the Career Services, which acts as a bridge between companies and graduates to connect professionals from all over the world. Skilled in employer marketing and networking events. She gives workshops on CV and cover letter writing, interviewing techniques and personal branding. John Erland Østergaard

John Erland Østergaard is a former Professor MSO and Institute Director from the University of Southern Denamrk. John Erland Østergaard has worked as CEO at Alight Technologies, Project Manager at NKT Research and Innovation, he has a Ph.D. degree within semi-conductor optics and his research led to start-up of the company Alight Technologies (2002) and DOPS Annual Price 2002. He has been research leader on large research project under the Strategic Research Council within plasmonic sensing (2006-2008). As Innovation Professor he founded the company Fionia Lighting A/S (2008) which today produces LED based light for greenhouses, as well as Othonia Curing Technology A/S (2012).
